Tanya's paintings tend to evolve and grow out of each other. The stories they tell allow the viewer to embark on an alternate reality - one where colour and form dominate over any reference points we may think we know.

Using a combination of pouring, glazing, fine brushwork and painterly mark, Tanya's work explores the possibility of paint in a way that expresses her faith in the medium. The paintings take on the history of these processes and hold these experimental applications in the energy of the surface, bringing to mind a playful celebration of painting itself.
