With the environment being battered by fire, floods and drought, my work is influenced by visually interrogating the cause and effect. In my current work I am exploring our closest relative - the great apes, researching and understanding their diminishing environment and what seems like their inevitable extinction! I feel I have broken away from my strict graphic design training - true perfection no longer restricts my art making. When I create, I am interested in the imperfections, exaggerations and distortions that are created by exploring and combining experimental and traditional methods.
